Oh my darling, my darling, my darling
My love, my heart, my little starling.
You are a flightly bird who stands out to me
Come to me and make me not so lonely
Return to me so I may love you once more
Fall and I'll catch you before you hit the floor.
Stifled snickers and knowing smiles
Passing glances between the seniles
Seconds later, people gaffaw
Wounded pride leads to a brawl.
O my life, O my love, O Goddess Beauty Fair,
To thee, none shall ever compare
Come and press kisses to my own
And never know what it is to be alone,
Owner of cornflower eyes and hair of gold
Be with me and together, let's grow old.
Tears well up in the corner of eyes
Kooky girls with their wistful sighs
Barnyard animals stare in silence
For them, it just didn't make sense.
What are these silly combinations of word play?
Why are they written every single bloody day?
My Goddess was too perfect for me
And now she has left me to be
I cry, missing the flaxen locks and ruby lips
Her heart-shaped face and swaying hips
She has severed me and so I will never love, I die alone
I die without her, because she was my one, my own.
Cows roll their eyes and turtles fall asleep
Silly girls sniffle, whimper, cry and weep
Blowfish float upside down and grasshoppers hop
Silly girls blow noses and read over from the top
Ducks bury their heads in lake, elves hide in woods
Silly Girls wish for boyfriends, comfort selves with foods.
If one were to read such a poem with common sense
One would see its silly world play and redundance
No insight nor depth, just a Silly Boy liking his "love,"
Then more silly word play about no other he knows of.
Silly Boy is left, Silly Boy whines through ridiculous word play,
He declares solitude as he falls in love the very next day.
Silly Girls don't care, they swoon and smile
Make Silly Boys wait for just a little while
And then their skin they perfume and locks do they comb
Just to go out and meet a Silly Boy with a Silly Love Poem.
