Xexano's Prolouge.
My name is Xexano. I know, it's a weird name, but I like it. After all, I chose it.
My company is the best. No one, and I mean, no one is better than my captian and assistant captian. After all, they insisted on taking me into their squad. My tale begins in the soul society's embracful walls. I was found wondering inside the gate, not knowing my name, or pretty much anything else about myself. At least, that's what I was told....
More than anyone else, I respected Toshiro. It wasn't him who found me, but, he was like a brother to me. Same age, at least in looks, and we both had a sister-like figure. His was luetinant Momo Hinamori. Mine was luetinant Rangiku Matsumoto. She was the one who found me. She helped me in my time of need. How could I not look up to her? Besides the fact that she was taller than me....Hehe. Anywho, I had been in tenth company for almost 2 years when I got my first mission. Since Toshiro and Rangiku trusted me so much, I was to lead the scouting party. We had to investigate some other party who hadn't come back from a seek-and-destroy mission in America. That must be one strong hollow, I thought. To take out four members of squad six. They have to be the second best in training. Besides squad ten.
We had our mission objectives, we departed for New York city.
After we had arrived, we set out for the last spot where the hollow was spotted. There was nothing but blood and a few traces of clothes. A large smeer of blood was against a wall where a body could have been propted up, but there was none. Another was nearby, but there were tracks leading away. A survivor. There was atleast one person left alive. The trail ended a few ways away. They must have gotten back to the soul society. Whoever they were, they left this carnage. They were lucky. We had started to feel a weird signal from some foreign spirit energy. Like nothing I had ever felt before. It was neither hollow or soul reaper. Strong, and yet flexible at the same time. It was closing in on us.
A tall, dark figure appeared further down the alleyway. A tall man-like figure, with a hat and coat. Covered in black and blood, he limped towards us. Whoever or whatever he was, he did not seem friendly.
I yelled, "Stay back!" but he still advanced. Once more, "Stay back! That is the last warning! We will attack!" still, he advanced. "Alright," I said. "have it your way." Before I could even draw my sword, the man to my left had no head. I paused. Shock had taken over. The man to my left was screaming at the figure who was still yards away. Even though the alley was pitch black, his horrid grin was clearly visible. He then did something that would send a shiver down even Kenpachi Zaraki's spine. He laughed. It was so cruel and evil, I wanted to rip my own ears off to not hear it. He still advanced.
A small shimmer where his hand was and the other soul reaper with me was gone. He fell to the ground with a loud thud. His head hit the ground a few seconds later. I started to run.
I didn't care where, or how, I was going to live to see my big sis. My onee-chan. Rangiku, I don't want to die. He was close. Too close.
It was obvious he was a soul. No one else could see him. And what power he had. Too strong for just a seated officer. He was gaining. I was running out of room. I stopped. Turned to face him. And unsheathed my sword. He stopped. Grinned that evil grin. I hesitated, but said it as loud as I could. "TEAR APART, Kosokososuru Hyou! Sneaking Panther!"
Even with my shikai, I was no match. My Kosokososuru Hyou was broken. It let out a scream in aggony that only i could hear. I couldn't bear it. It was like nails against a chalk board. I tried to stand. No good. My legs were cut too bad. My head was spinning. The loss of blood made it too hard to focus. My vision blurred, my body ached. I started to fade in and out of conciousness. He stood over me. That monster of a man. He smiled once more. I couldn't hold on. My eyes shut completely. Darkness. That's all I could feel. Total darkness.
Warmth. Strange, no more rain and cold. No more pain and feelings of loss. Was I safe? Was I home? Why did I feel out of place and yet, so comfortable?
"Ugh, my head." I started to wake. "Where am I?"
"You are in my home, soul reaper." A voice replied.
"Are you an enemy? Or a friend?" I asked.
"Neither." The voice said. It was a woman's voice. Soft and gentle, yet fierce and strong. She didn't speak until I had spoken first.
"Who are you? How did I get here?"
"You are in India. My home land. And I am the queen of the bounts. My name is of no importance." She said. Bount? An artificial soul sucker? Impossible.
I had started to move when she spoke again. "Please, don't move. You are being set back to the soul reapers who are looking for you. If you move, half of you might make it." She said with what I believe was a smile.
Once again, cold damp rain was on me. I was back in the alleyway. There was at least two small groups of soul reapers, four or more to a group. Several were from squad four. They picked me up in amazment. I was covered in badages, and yet, my wounds were healed. They helped me up. I took off the blindfold. Everything came rushing to me in a flash of light. The scrambling of my fellow soul reapers was all I could see at first. They were saying that they had to get me back to the soul society due to an attack from some ryoka. I hurried to the extraction point. I was in the soul society within a few minutes. When I had got there, ruins were all that I could see. A bright light had appeared from the execution hill. A large tear had appeared in the sky as several Menos Grande had lifted three figures into the sky. I ran to the hill. I flew past several injured people adn made it to the base of the hill. There several of the ryoka were gazing above to the light, I passed them. They didn't matter to me now. What mattered was seeing if my captian was alright. When I reached the top, one name was said over and over again. Sosuke Aizen, the traitor. Several others were mentioned but didn't stick as well. I stood over the injured soul reaper ryoka. He looked sad. I wanted to ask him so many questions. I stood over him as the female ryoka was healing him. She was releived that he was alright. I left them there. I still had to look for the ones that I cared for most.
Turns out, my captian and assistant captian were at the central fourty-six. They had told me what had happened. That the ryoka were our friends and that they had tried to stop the tratiors from reaching their goals. I didn't care. All that I cared about was that they were safe. I helped rebuild what was destroyed. The ryoka had left. Peace was restored. A small party with my assistant captian and head captian and a few others. I decided to go along. Although, I didn't recive the order like the others. Karakura town, my next destination.
End of Xexano's Prolouge.
